Here’s a look at the screen the Apple Store is currently showing. There’s no other information on this other than what Apple says, which is unsurprisingly vague: “Development news. We’re making updates to the Apple Store. Check back after the event, streaming on apple.com or on the Apple TV app.”
The Apple Store didn’t go down during WWDC 18 or WWDC 19 or WWDC 20 or WWDC 21 – all the years we haven’t had any devices. #WWDC22, the store is down. We get the hardware.6 June 2022
broke down: Well, that’s big – the Apple Store is down now (Opens in a new tab).
This is important, because Sami Fathy from MacRumors (Opens in a new tab) On the tweets above, this only happens when new devices are on the way.
So, the MacBook Air 2022 looks like a lock, right?
Of course, the strongest hardware rumor about WWDC has to do with the new MacBook Air 2022.
This is likely to get a design overhaul for the first time in years, with thinner screen bezels, a rectangular chassis, new color options, and more. But this upgrade can be more than just a design update; A new Apple M2 chip, Mini-LED display, and new ports, among other things, are also rumored.
We’ve rounded up all the rumored MacBook Air 2022 features ahead of today’s WWDC keynote.
Another possible announcement at WWDC 2022 has to do with Apple’s efforts in mixed reality. Rumor has it that there is a file Apple VR / AR Headset In the works, and while few are expecting a demo of the device – presumably it won’t ship until 2023 – Apple can still reveal tools for creating apps that take advantage of augmented reality.
This step could be as simple as releasing a new version of ARKit, the developer tools Apple already offers to create augmented reality-friendly iPhone apps. But there is also the possibility to preview files IndeedThe program is rumored to run any Apple VR/AR device.
It’s worth keeping an eye out for any AR news at WWDC as it may give us a better idea of what Apple is planning next year.
In preparation for WWDC, one of the most talked about rumors is New Multitasking Features for iPadcoming via iPadOS 16. Apple routinely boosts multitasking capabilities for tablets — last year’s iPadOS 15 update made it easier to transition to Split Screen or Slide Out views with different apps — but this year’s efforts look a little different.
Specifically, Apple insiders expect a more desktop-like experience to run multiple apps simultaneously and jump between different apps. One rumor points to app windows that can be resized, just like those on a Mac.
Mark Gorman from Bloomberg has the most complete See the rumored update about multitasking in iPadOS 16 (Opens in a new tab)at least until Apple fills in the details during today’s keynote.
A lock screen with widgets could pave the way for Apple to add Always On Display support for some iPhone 14 models in the fall. (Guessing is that this may only be the capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro.) But even if that were the case, it’s unlikely that Apple would mention the iPhone 14 by name. A teaser like the one that was thrown at Google at the Google I/O conference for Pixel 7 It’s just not part of Apple’s game rules.
And that’s not to deny that there may be no hints about what’s coming in the fall contained in Apple’s iOS 16 preview. Here is a look at What can WWDC tell us about the upcoming iPhone.
But that’s not the only rumored change to iOS 16, which seems like a big update.
We have a news report for Top rumored features of iOS 16 Including updates on notifications and messages. We’ve also heard that new apps could appear in iOS 16, although there are no specifics about what these apps might address. This did not prevent us from creating a file Some guesses about some of the iOS 16 changes.
The biggest expected change coming to iOS 16 this year may be the ability to add widgets to the lock screen.
Specifically, Apple will create new wallpapers that you can select for your lock screen, some of which will include widgets that will supposedly show the current temperature, upcoming appointments, or any other quick information you can put on your home screen since iOS 14.
These rooms are full of tech – it’s like an Apple Store for developers only 🤩 #WWDC22 pic.twitter.com/NijhFVojq65 June 2022
Like the past two years, WWDC is a virtual event, where presentations – including today’s keynote – are streamed online. But it would be more accurate to describe WWDC as especially virtual.
Few developers will attend the WWDC keyword in person, and Apple’s on-campus presentations aren’t limited to just the keyword. The company is also reviewing the new Developer Center.
Apple is promoting the Developer Center, located near the Apple Park campus, as a place where developers can meet and learn from the company’s engineers and designers. There are enough small touches to warm the hearts of the most tired Apple Geek, including the namesake rooms of different macOS versions.
